ANIMATION SERVICE
Animaniacs cartoons were made from several animation studios all over the world,
and you can see the difference!!!

CLICK4PICS!

STARTOONS (USA)
www.startoons.net

This's my fav animation service with the TMS' one
I really appreciate its wonderful and flowing animation and how they draw the characters: a style pretty different from the original model sheets, but it shows the powerful characters of the Warners.
In those cartoons the expressions are almost grotesquehe, really really wonderful! The zaniest of Animaniacs comes out from those drawings to the max!
The Startoons made almost all of Slappy's cartoons and I think they contributed alot to exasperate the bitter nature of this wonderful character!

Cartoons that Startoons made:
#3 Slappy goes walnuts
#8 The big candy store
#8 Bumbie's mom
#9 Wally Llama
#19 Meatballs or consequences

Recognize the style: The drawings look "angular and a kind assimetric.. and I love it!
The Warners have flat sole feet!

My second fav animation service!
TMS made excellent drawings and a really good animation
The style of the characters is absolutly wonderful, they really made them with care.
The style is pretty different from Startoons, but they both have a hight level
I really admire the TMS also because they crossed a so different style from their one but they can made, as the same, a very wonderful job!

I really must say that in time, this animation service, got better!

AKOM (South Korea)

I think those drawings don’t have a good quality
But this animation service made some good cartoons sometimes! I think there's alot of several styles inside it. One really good and another really bad. "Hello Nurse" cartoon shows that inside there are several scenes of really different styles. It's possible to watch the different really well. That makes me sorry, cause "Hello Nurse" could have been one of my fav cartoon if they made a good style in all the scenes. The song is wonderful and I think that cartoon deserved particular care from those who made it!

My fav cartoons on this style: #74 The president song, #27 I got yer can, #44 Kiki's kitten, #41 Raging Bird

FREELANCE (New Zeland)

I don't like this animation service because they draw Yakko, Wakko and Dot really bad!
Their faces seem to melt! Also they often forget to draw them with their tails and sometimes their ears!
With the other characters they were a little better, but the quality generally isn't good.

Cartoon that the Freelance made:

Animaniacs
Cockmamie!

The writers
uh?
Who are the craziest who got the idea to make such a wonderful cartoon???

Here's the craziest!!!
Paul Rugg

My fav writer!!!! I don't know anything about him, I just know he's great!! His stories reflect the zaniest, pure and unique Animaniacs' nature!!!
I think the funniest stories are the ones he wrote: totally out of logic but so funny and full of silly gags!
In the cartoons he has written we can face the zany, rascal and joy "spirit" of the Animaniacs which he adds a little bit of perversion, too! Whehehehe!
But in the american version that more hide than the italian one! In fact our traductor have fun translating some of the little pervert lines into  REALLY pervert line! Good!!!! ^_^
Paul Rugg is a really wonderful voice actor, too,
In the Animaniacs show he dubted some secondary characters, like Mr director in "Hello Nice Warners". Other cartoons where he appears are: Einstein in "Cookies for Einstein" and "Puppets rule".
Of course I have to remember his wonderful voice interpretation of Freakazoid of its cartoon series where he's, of course, one of the writers!

My fav cartoon that he wrote: ALL, but mostly #70 Super Strong Warner Siblings, #53 Drive insane, #83 The ballad of Magellan (Written with Jonh P. McCann), #78 The sound of Warners, #32 Chairman of the bored (Written with Tom Ruegger, Tom Minton and Sherry Stoner),  #26 Potty emergency, #6 Temporary insanity, #14 La la law

I llike him!!!!
Randy Rogel
My other great fav writer! I think he's as good as Paul Rugg, but he based his stories mostly on the music, in fact he wrote all the best song of all the Animaniacs show! His music is something special! Something that changed the Animaniacs and contributed to make it not just "a kids cartoon"
The music that he wrote has a powerful force, it's something special and involving!
Thanks to the songs he wrote you can have joy and also learn something! In fact those songs are almost all are an educational way to learn something new!
The cartoon he wrote on those songs, of course, are funny and wonderful, he just made a perfect union. I'll never stop thanking this great man! =))))

My fav cartoon that he wrote: #94 The Brain's apprentice, #77 Multiplication, #87 When you're traveling...
My fav songs that he wrote: #95 There's only one of you, #82 Hello Nurse, #3 Yakko's universe, #69 I'm mad!, #71 Variety speak, #2 Yakko's world

Tom
Tom Ruegger
Another writer that I really like! The stories he wrote, I think, are funny but not zany as Paul Rugg's ones: he just prefered to follow a "deep" line. His stories are more complicated and they're "linked" to alot of references. So to totally enjoy the cartoons he wrote you have to reflect while the cartoon is going on and that's the best part of them! A cartoon that involve you into it! It's great!
You can participate in or just go nuts and be recovered in a psychiatric clinic! =E)
I must say that all the cartoon he wrote are made from TMS, with a wonderful style!! Then maybe it should have been one advantage to be the senior producer? ;PPP

My fav cartoon that he wrote: #5 Taming of the scewy (Written with Peter Hastings and Earl Kress), #65 Warners 65th aniversary special (Written with Paul Rugg and Sherry Stoner), #69 Slappy and Skippy theme, #92 Dot, the Macadamia nut,  #30 Hot, bothered, belivided (Story by Tom Ruegger; written by Jonh P. McCann), #79 My mother, the squirrel, #32 Chairman of the bored (Written with Paul Rugg, Tom Minton and Sherry Stoner)

She(rri)'s GREAT!!!
Sherri Stoner
A real great innovator writer and bearer of an energic aspect on Animaniacs cartoons! Sherri Stoner is related to all the cartoons of Slappy, an old bitter squirrel that she created, dubted and charaterized.
I think that Sherri's best work is that she totally involved into that chatacter. The Slappy's Squirrel's cartoons aren't just a simple story and dubbing. I feel like Sherri got involve in the character, as she would express what she real would be in her life. I think that Slappy is the transposition of Sherri in the cartoon world, or maybe, the transposition of what Sherry would be!!
Slappy's stories that she wrote are really really fun under every aspect, but also the stories with the other Animaniacs are! They are full of gags and funny sketchs and they're filled of the old Tex Avery's gag, though those are used in fresh new ways to make them always new and unforeseeable.
Another good thing of Sherri-Slappy's cartoons is the dialogue with the public, the emotive involving: Slappy turns at you, asks you by quickly sights, wink to you from the monitor of your TV, she also speaks to you!!! And she waits that you say something, but then, she resolves everything with a good ton of explosives!!

My fav cartoon that she wrote: #3 Slappy goes walnuts, #8 Bumbie's mom, #54 Meet Minerva, #32 Chairman of the bored (Written with Tom Ruegger, Tom Minton and Paul Rugg)

Peter
Peter Hastings
Peter Hastings is another writer who exalts a lot of the rascal personalities of the Animaniacs charaters. The cartoons that he wrote are filled with gags, funny situations and the "badness" with Yakko, Wakko and Dot use to cross all they adventures, but differently from Paul Rugg's stories those gag are more "dispersive". I mean they give you the time to think on them, while in Paul's cartoons, they're a frantic succession of slapstick situation that really drives you nuts. You can't realize that a toon got hit by a anvil, then it gets hit by a ton, a limousine, a sheep and a plane!

Turning again on Nicholas, I think that the best show of his style is that it's really varieus; he can run from a "mind" cartoon, so based with a story that make you think about, to a real slapstick cartoon, where the evil zany Animaniacs soul comes out touching the cruel! As "The Tiger Prince" where Yakko as Rafiki shows to the animals the little tiger and, when he makes him fall down from the cape, he closes saying: "Oh! I thought they were suppose to land on their feet!" It couldn't be badder than that!!!

My fav cartoont hat he wrote: #79 Previously on Animaniacs (!!!), #77 This pun for hire (Written with Gordon Bressack, Charles M. Howell IV and Tom Ruegger), #74 The Tiger Prince, #82 Wakko's 2 notes song,  #5 Taming of the screwy (mind out with Tom Ruegger and Earl Kress), #10 King Yakko, #40 Fair game , #46 Turkey Jerky (Written with Tom Ruegger)

the Brain!!
Tom Minton
The Brain of the Maniacs. Tom Minton deserve this fame cause the cartoons he has written are as genial as Brain's plans! He just enjoy the stories that show the backstory of the Warners, writing very nice episodes when the three siblings were still in black and white (but red noses!). Also Tom Minton loves write the Pinky and the Brain's adventures, of course they're really entertaining, but I think he's just great writing stories based on sound tracks without any dialogues, those cartoons are really masterpieces and they leave you... speechless!

My fav cartoon that he wrote: #59 Ragamuffins, (!!!), #91 Back in style, #13 Little old Slappy from Pasadina, #26 Bubblin' Bijou, #32 Chairman of the bored (Written with Tom Ruegger, Paul Rugg and Sherri Stoner), #54 Brain meets Brown

Nicholas Hollander He's the writer who wrote the more sweet and romantic Animaniacs adventures, but he doesn’t forget to pop up the evil temper of Animaniacs when he wants to! He just doesn't make the Animaniacs as bad as Paul Rugg or Sherri Stoner do.
Nicholas Hollander prefers to make appear the "human" aspect of the Animaniacs that in the cartoons of the other writers is hide. In "One flew over the cuckoo clock", for example, we can find out a real hidden side, to our eyes, of Slappy even though it's always present in all the other cartoons. It's the REAL deep tie between Slappy and Skippy always present in all the other writer's cartoon but more difficult to find out.

My fav cartoon that he wrote: #83 One flew over the cuckoo clock (Written with Jeff Kwitty and Tom Ruegger), #31Puttin' on the blitz, #7 Piano rag, #71 Three tenors and you're out (Written with Jeff Kwitty)

Kevin Hopps Nothing this man made to become a legend but to write one of the best, wonderfulest, greatest cartoon of all the Animaniacs series!!!!! Unfortunetly he wrote just two stories of the entire season.
I didn't watch the other, but, I'm sure it's great!!!! Ladies and gentlemen you're meeting a genius!!

My fav cartoon that he wrote: #84Cutie and the Beast

To know all the parodies, gags and references in all the Animaniacs cartoons read the Animaniacs Cultural Reference Guide: a very important document that every fan of Animaniacs should know by heart! (SBONK!!)

Animaniacs
Behind the scene-y!

THE VOICE ACTORS
The Animaniacs couldn't have been what they are without those great persons who gave them their own voices. Interpreting and emphasizing not just the dialogues, but also the real pretty, cute songs of the show! ^_^

PICS&SOUNDS

Rob Paulsen

The voice actor of Yakko, Otto and Pinky, he has a real great melodiousness talent and an incredible vocal versality. I think that its not human some of the things that this man could do with his voice. For Yakko he gives that voice accent that exauhlts his mature character's side and making a wonderful contrast between it and the relative young age of the Warner brother. Also I must say about his great interpretation of all the songs that are sung like crazy tounge twisters, really really fast!
With Otto's voice he uses the typical dutch accent, I really love to think when Yakko and Otto talk together, that he talks alone! I think he's crazy!! ^_^
At last the wonderful voice of Pinky which he gives such an amazing emotional potential that REALLY makes you want to die of laughter! I even think that Pinky's character would have been annoying without the voice that this great actor gives him!
Oh boy! I love this man!!!!

My fav songs that he sings: ALL!!!!

Jess Harnell The voice actor of Wakko. He also dubbed Walter Wolf.
Jess was inspired by Ringo Starr for Wakko's voice so he has an english accent.
The interpretation of Wakko's voice has evolved a lot and by the time the second part of the entire season of Animaniacs cartoons it became more "scratchy" than usual. Which I think is much more beautiful.
Jess is a great singer of the songs too! Unfortunetly when the three sibs sings together in the cartoons Wakko's voice is hidden from the high key voice of Dot. Luckely it's possible to totally enjoy his performance in the songs that he sings alone! ^_^

My fav songs that he sings: #82 Hello Nurse; The ghost of Christmas past from "Animaniacs-A hip Hopera Christmas"

Tress MacNeille Really cute interpreter of the nice voice of Dot. Tress also dubt Hello Nurse and Marita, three voice so totally different that makes us understand her incredible skill.
Tress gives Dot that kind of sweetness that characterized the cute sister, but also adds an equal measure of the zaniest touch that's part Warners. Which comes out of a knowing Dot, but at the same time is sweet. She knows how use this as a double weapon in every situation!
Dot's key voice is really high and in some scenes it makes her stronger..
How say it...
She knows how to be worth!
What a cute little devil!!! ;PPP

My fav songs that she sings: Several drops of rain

Maurice LaMarche A really good voice actor of the Brain who inspiration is the voice of Orson Wells. It gives to the character a good tone of seriousness and severity. This is a perfect opposite with the character of his friend Pinky. Who is totally nuts and has goofy acts, hilarious situations and funny gags.
Everything is based on the deep and serious Brain's dialogues, that are nothing more than to insulte his cagemate.
In Brain's character there's a kind of " tiredness", of exhaustion about Pinky and his own destiny. This is the most important aspect of him and that raises Maurice's dubbing, in fact, thanks to his interpretation, he make us find out the more deep side of the big-head-mouse. Making it a pop out sensation of bitter resignation for a life full of unworked plains.
Massimiliano Alto "THESE DAMN LITTLE PUPPYS! They're really cool... but to watch, not to dubt! This year we sang something like 92 songs and to do that voice so "deformed" makes destroy my throat! They're really cool, anyway...."

Massimiliano Alto from an interwiev of "Animania" 1997

I really must say that this sentence comments itself!!!! Eheheheh! Alright, it'll never happen, but if, one day, I'll should meet Massimilaino, maybe I'll try to ask him, with caution, to sing all "Multiplication" for me!!!!
Ok! Massimilaino Also gives the italian voice to Yakko and I must say that his interpretation is very good, though, I understood, really painful, for him!
Yakko's voice he does sounds younger though it keeps enough of the original english key, but definetly the really fast talking is the same!
Massimiliano is really great in the interpretation of all the songs, too! After all singing is one of his biggest passions!

My fav songs that he sings: #3 Yakko's universe song, #2 Yakko's world

Davide Lepore A really good interpretation for the italian version of Wakko! Like Yakko's one, his voice sounds a little more younger than the original version, but the final result is really good and very funny! Davide gives to Wakko, in his italian interpretation, the personality of a real pest child! Wakko's voice is adorable and really entertaining it also keeps very well the original american key

My fav songs that he sings: #52 Le belle braciole (Italian version of "The chopstick" from  "Ups and downs"), #49 The ghost of the Christmas Past (From "A Christmas Plotz")

Ilaria Latini About Dot:

"Ah!
You know what is the most beautiful part of the theme, for me? (Also their ballet...)
It's simply when the cutie (she's too) says: "...e la sorellina Dot!"

"I can't explain, but your language sounds funny to me. ,=o)
And when Dot says her lines it's more fun yet! =o)
She speaks shouting! =o)"

"Dot sounds so cute and full of energy, and the Italian just sounds so cool in the other. It flows."

"I love it. I think I may actually like the Italian Dot more than the English one!"

"Dot sounds a LOT different in the Italian theme. She YELLS her part! I like that."

The sweetest Dot! Maybe Ilaria doesn't know it, but everyone loves "our" Dot who's interpreted from this as the same very sweet voice actress! And it's true! Ilaria can raise to the max the sweetness of Dot, who appear to our eyes, like a poor vurnerable little creature, till the moment she gets angry, so show out all her determination. Ilaria points more on the sweet nature of Dot, but she also interprets really good, the zaniest and totally out of control side of the little sister and when she does nothing can stop the tiny kid!

My fav songs that she sings: #69 I'm mad, #53 I'm cute

Ilaria Stagni About Vera Peste (Slappy):

"Gheeee!!!! You know that I saw "Scare happy Slappy" and "Slappy frontier" eleven times to enjoy her voice? "Ma fammi il piacere, tu sei Boone!""

"I love Slappy!
I would love to meet her, Is it possible?"

Here's another great interpreter who gave something more to the character that she dubs; that's right, the amazing Ilaria hit the target, mading of Vera Peste (Slappy Squirrel) the most bitter and maketroubles character of the cartoons universe!
The voice of veteran of cartoons that she use to dubt Slappy and that good emphatization of the voice, in some scenes, slap off the character nothing less than malleable of this old squirrel!
I think that one of the aspects that make the public loves Slappy and the naturalness interpreting of Ilaria is a fondamental part of her success!

My fav lines that she says: ALL!!!

NOW GO AWAY! SKIPPY AND I HAVE A CARTOON TO MAKE!!!

...and the others! I don't absolutely want to be mean that speaking about the others makers and interpreters of  the Animaniacs in this page that I don't consider them as good as the other! On the contrary I love and admire averyone who contributed more or less to make so special and different this cartoon show! Actually I also am a little envious of them!!! ;PPP
Even though I didn't talk about the voice actor of Rita and Runt or Minerva or about all the other innumerable writers, you must know that everyone of them have a place in my heart ^_^
Goodbye everybody!!!

Fans I wanna thanks all the Animaniacs fans too! Because for a show to have complete success it needs to be loved, actually...
So I think that the affection that the fan of Animaniacs feel for its characters go over the limit
I'm just one of all the persons who really enjoied the show, the cute Warner sibs and all the other great characters, who gave us something more than a simple entertainment: they presented us a real emotion... ever...
